Northern Lights Electric Inc. is a first-class firm all the way and has done numerous jobs at my house throughout the years. Rich the owner planned out the placement of all the recessed lighting and wall sconces throughout my new home while it was being constructed. We were extremely pleased with the results of his work and the skill involved with the accurate placement of the lighting to achieve the desired effects.  Another example of Rich’s vast knowledge and expertise came when he installed a built-in TV in my living room wall where he planned out all the ductwork and Sono tubes built into the walls and connected them to my audio and surround sound stereo system components in my house.  Rich’s subcontractor performing all the drywall patching and texturing are the best I ever have seen and made a large section of the living room wall behind the built-in TV look like it never had been touched and matching the existing textured wall perfectly. Rich and his staff also installed a new electrical service for my hot tub and outdoor water fountain and did a great job. Rich and his staff are responsive, friendly, and courteous and I have recommended Northern Lights Electric Inc. to all my friends and business associates.

I’ve been using Northern Lights Electric, Inc. for almost 15 years for all of my electrical needs in my home.  I did a lot of research in an attempt to find a reliable, technically capable, quality-oriented electrician for some significant upgrades to my home which was built in 1955.  I have never regretted calling Rich Gobbell about work I needed to be done.  I have felt totally comfortable with his excellent crew coming to my home and knowing that their work will suit my needs.  Rich and his crew will bend over backwards to ensure that I get exactly what I want, where I want it, etc…..and everything is to city codes so I don’t have to be concerned about related problems now or later.  Over the years, Rich & his crew have installed a new 200-amp panel, installed numerous new outlets, garage lighting, closet lighting, recessed lighting, garden lighting, etc.  My latest project this year has been an upgrade to my 10 or 12-year-old garden lighting system.  Rich and his crew replaced all garden lighting fixtures, provided all new wiring where needed, added new lights exactly where I wanted them and, after years of wanting some European style “cafe lighting” outback over my existing flagstone patio dining area plus lighting around my gazebo and over a brand new paver patio in a different back yard location, Rich & his guys did an incredible job of making that happen.  We strung 7 strands (50 ft. each) of string lights between my house out over these patio areas.  I’m still amazed at what a perfect “layout” of these lights we came up with…..thanks to Rich’s crew.  It was not an easy job ensure that the lighting was aesthetically pleasing (height, length, location, etc.).  The lights had to be strung, fastened to “something” (we wrapped many around trees), fastened to fences, etc…and have exterior switches easily accessible from the patio….with dimmers….so the night-time ambiance is incredibly beautiful.  Bottom Line:  Northern Lights Electric, Inc. came through for me once again with excellent quality/workmanship. Rich always stands behind the work done.  If everyone should have an issue or problem, Rich is right there to ensure it’s taken care of.  Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for quality, reliability, and attention to detail in all they do.

Rich Gobbell and his team did a great job installing 43 lights in our 20-year old home.  Most are recessed LED’s on dimmers in cathedral ceilings in five rooms that previously lacked built-in lighting.  Rich was meticulous in making his estimate, listened carefully to what we wanted, made recommendations, and carefully marked each location.  His original estimate was reasonable, and he was clear about the cost of add-ons (which we did — wiring in new exterior lights, putting replacement LED units in closets).  The work was done on time, with no mess, and with the minimum of sheet-rock cutting (38 “cookies” in all).  In addition, Rich recommended a full-service painter, Kris Kent of Kent Painting Co, whose team has done a fantastic job in repairing cracks and cookies and painting most of the house interior.  I recommend Rich Gobbell and Northern Lights without hesitation.

Excellent all around.  Rich is great and hires people in his likeness: hard-working, aiming to please, competent, honest, and dependable.  Doesn’t get much better.  The job they were hired to do was very complicated and took a week to complete, just as scheduled.  It was a pleasure to work with Rich and his staff and I am hiring them again next week.

We spent months looking for an electrical company that was creative, diligent, and eager to complete the many electrical upgrades and modifications we needed in our home. We finally found that with Rich Gobbell and his team at Northern Lights Electric, after hearing about them from a neighbor.  Rich and his team were very helpful in recommending solutions and dialing in our lighting with precision and on schedule.  We were admittedly a little indecisive about the placement of a couple lights and his team were always professional and accommodating.  I felt like they cared about my house as much as I did; a rare quality in the contracting business.  I look forward to calling them again.

Rich’s response to a quote was very timely.  During the kitchen/dining room lighting quote, Rich was very open to my ideas as well as providing his guidance with his experience.  The funny part is that in the end, I scratched all my ideas and ended up with the initial design Rich suggested. Phone calls were returned promptly, and the team was on-time every day.   The team was completely excellent, skilled, open-minded, patient, kind, and courteous.  The work done was impeccable and so was the cleanup.  I changed my mind twice from the original decision, and everyone, including Rich, was more than accommodating and without any attitudes.   They kept saying, “I’m the one that needs to be happy”, and I truly am.   I definitely will do future business with Rich and his great team!

If I could give a sixth star, I would. The best, most professional company out there from Rich the owner to all of his great employees. Everyone was nice, courteous and most of all very skilled! They did excellent work – great attention to detail. They did it fast – 1.5 days for whole house! And price is very reasonable. Overall, a very positive experience. If you’re thinking about getting canned lights, this is the only place to go!!!

Amazing service! Fast installation and so neat and tidy. Everyone was extremely professional. Rich did a personal walkthrough at the end and both he and the electrician (wish I could remember his name) said this was the best part – watching the customer oooh and ahhh over the transformation. Had a very minor tweak to the end result and Rich sent someone back the very next day. I also added to the work mid-job and there was no delay – they were flexible and efficient. I can’t recommend them enough. You won’t be disappointed.

We have been doing a lot of remodeling of our home over the last couple of years. Rich and his team have been our best experience to date. Rich is very involved and all of the people who work for him are extremely polite and professional. Northern Lights was recommended to us by our interior designer and a local lighting store. Rich additionally helped me a lot with some decorating questions I had.  We had a very positive experience and would never use anyone else.

He returned my initial call within the hour, appeared at my home to provide an estimate and bid the same day, he had a crew available to do the work the following day, his experienced electricians completed several distinct projects quickly and efficiently (on time and on budget) and they were also very attentive to cleanliness and very polite. Wow, if only ALL other services providers were this professional and accomplished!!

Rich and his crews are outstanding! They just completed a sizeable job of both interior and exterior lighting and wiring as well as installing a great new Sonos system (again, both indoors and outdoors) at our home.
